Chord Qutest

I am about to settle on a Chord Qutest based on the reviews but I have not seen any review on its RELIABILITY.

A few buyers have complained that after a few months, it has stopped working for them.

Has anyone had such an experience and/or has anyone had one for longer than about 3-4 years who can vouch for its reliability ?

Thanks

Putting a twist on this and to save a bundle ($725 for mojo 2 instead of $1500 for qutest), has anyone tried a Mojo2 and feed its headphone output to a power amplifier (or a pre-amplifier) ?  I understand that the headphone amplifier is now in the middle but since it is said to be of great quality, can anyone really detect a degradation ?

Has anyone actually tried this ?

I must admit I like the fact that Mojo2 includes tone controls which Qutest does not.

Thanks

I still have the Mojo for use with my headphones when I travel, but sold the Qutest. At least in my system, Mojo was a bit warmer but the Qutest was more resolving with a bigger soundstage. When I tried the Mojo with my bookshelf speakers I liked the sound but wish it could provide more detail.

I had Mojo the first version and have Qutest.

Qutest is a different league. More transparent, detailed, much better extensions, much bigger soundstage stage.

I had Chord 2qute. It is closer in sound quality to Qutest then to Mojo1.

Those Mojo2 "tone controls" look like a 4 band DSP equalizer along with some cross feed modes... Probably good for headphones and not so great for a home stereo system... The Mojo2 is really made as a nice portable DAC for headphones... The Qutest is just a DAC made to integrate with your home stereo system... Got a source server or streamer and preamp... Your good to go... Also the Mojo2 has a WTA filter of 40,960 taps with a 4 element pulse array... while the Qutest has 49,152 taps with a 10 element pulse array... There will be a difference in sound...  I have had my Qutest, going on three years now, without any issues...

I’ve had two different qutest for the past couple of years and no issues with either one. I also use the ifi power supplies.
