Supratek Cabernet vs Cary SLP 05.

i would like to know if anyone has as well

I have never heard a system with the SLP 05 before. I do own the Supratek Cabernet and really like it. What has drawn you to those two preamps? I’m a fan of Dennis Had, always loved the Cary stuff I heard. FYI, he has a new preamp that he sells under his own name on eBay. The initial reports I’ve read are very positive. 

I have an SLP 05. No need to hear a Supratek.

Dynamic as heck.  Check.

Smooth as all get out.  Check.

Immersive atmospheric sound stage.  Check. 

Plenty of inputs including 2 balanced. Check. 

Balanced outs.  Check. 

Museum quality aesthetics.  Check. 

Responsive customer service.  Check. 

Engaging, glorious sound.  Check. 

One thing about the Supratek is that they have a lifetime guarantee. 

I expect the Cary sounds excellent. I own a Supratek Cortese, which is a higher priced model than the Chardonnay. It is wonderful.
