For me its the first or very early LP's of: Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South" Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer" and, Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
Nectar - A Tab in the Ocean
Porcupine Tree - Up the Downstair
Lamb - What Sound
George Crumb - Lux Aeterna for Five Masked Musicians
George Crumb - Four Nocturnes
George Crumb - Dream Sequence
My original copy with just a bit of background noise in a few spots but absolutely great SQ. Thinking of picking up the remaster from QRP but concerned it won't match the great sound of my original copy.
Well, it’s been an eventful last couple days. Finally decided to purchase a couple Belles MB200 mono blocks to replace my old 400A. Sent the money to the seller this afternoon, so hopefully they arrive next week.
So, on to music…
Richard Thompson - Rumor and Sigh. Capitol/EMI 1991 European pressing.
Awesome record, played the other night and realized I bought it new 55 years ago <sigh>. It still sounds fantastic and past memories flood back, love it!
