Cary SLI-80HS or Jadis Orchestra black?

I am trying to decide between the Cary and the Jadis tube Integrated amps. One uses KT88, Jadis an EL34 variant. What would you do? I want to pair them with Monitor audio silver 500. CDP is Rega Apollo. Thanks! I am torn at the moment. Jadis sounds better mid-range but Cary better low end.

@bobrock for the Cary it really depends on whether or not you are comparing with a base model unit or a fully upgraded version. The newer/upgraded versions can vary with upgraded Munforf caps, Hexfreds, and all tubes replaced. Put the stock tubes in their original boxes for safe keeping. The amp transforms with all of the upgrades.

I sold my former SLI80-Signature and should have kept it for rotation. My local tech did the upgrade work, Cary bought the amp back from me at full price towards my current SLP-98 preamp, had it in there showroom playing, and called me to ask what all the upgrades were wanting to know how/why it sounded so good. They resold it fast.

The Jadis is nice too. The Cary has serious potential in the right hands of a really good tech or bought new with all of the worthy upgrades some do at purchase time. Recommend doing all of the upgrades at once, together. No need to incrementally wait. Best of luck.

If you live in the US, I would ho with the Cary.  Easier to get repaired.  Getting Jadis serviced in the US has always been a problem.  I did hear a Jadis integrated once, many moons ago and found it to be “polite” at best.
