For me its the first or very early LP's of: Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South" Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer" and, Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
I bought this mint/sealed at Plaid Room Records about 3 years ago for $5.99! I mean, even if I didn't like it so much, hard to go wrong for $6, especially considering it contained their big hit - "One Toke Over the Line". Much to my surprise, it's a pretty darn good album. I got a bargain!
RE: Deutsche Grammophon - One word, inconsistent. Most/many can be very good, some, not so much. Doesn’t mean they are not all ‘good’, they are, but some are stellar, and some not so much.
In contrast, in relation to another larger EU label, Philips, as example, in the classical recording realm, IMO is constantly very good to excellent. Same with DECCA/London.
