Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

Mehta conducts Scriabin - Poem Of Ecstasy, Op. 54 & Schoenberg - Transfigured Night, Op. 4. Los Angeles Philharmonic. London 1967

David Gray - "Mutineers"

Again! There are some fine songs on this album. Some of his best IMHO. And it's All Killer, No Filler! But the kicker is the final 4 songs from the album:

"Birds of the High Arctic", "The Incredible", "Girl Like You" and "Gulls"

If you're a fan and don't know the record, take a listen. If you aren't familiar with David Gray, take a listen. If you don't have time for the whole album, start at "Birds of the High Arctic" and take a listen to those last 4 tracks. Heavenly to me...

Luciano Pavarotti-Luciano Side 2 SQ Audiophile

J.Geils Band-"Live" Full House Side 2

Susannah McCorkle-No More Blues(CJ-370) Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Bryan Adams-Into The Fire Side 1

Elvis Presley-He Touched Me Side 1

Aerosmith-Classics Live Side 2

Linda Ronstadt-Don't Cry Now Side 2

Marian McPartland-At The Festival(CJ-118) Side 2 SQ Audiophile

McPartland takes the SQ Crown edging out Pavarotti might be demo quality. Ronstadt SQ was not up to her other recordings, mastering info not on album. "Full House" what a great classic rock LP with good SQ! The religious side of Elvis reminded me of a Blackwood Brothers recording, more Elvis less chorus.
