Power Conditioners Lifespan

I purchased a Max 550 EX AC Regenerator and a Max 5300 surge protector in 2003. Does anyone know these things have an average lifespan?

I have Furman units that are still going strong after 20 years. The SMP feature adds a great deal to the longevity compared to simpler MOV only surge protectors.
