Agreed. 12BH7A (CV5042) can be great. Curious if the Trumpet could facilitate it.

Doesn't this rely on the power supply? As I am running the SBooster LPS, it is capable of 2.5A @15v, the stock Hagerman w/wall wart was designed for 2.05A @15v. So, as designed, the SBooster (in theory) has more current available than the Trumpet was designed for, which is good. But, may not be enough for 12HBH7A's if they call for 3A.

I might have this all wrong, just learning here. From what I am reading, it is the power supply that could be damaged by not being able to provide enough current, (in my case), not the Trumpet itself.

Brian, on the Trumpet, it all depends on the internal capacity of the DC regulator feeding the tubes on the board.

Gotcha. I think I was wrong anyway. 300ma is .3A, not 3A. So, not a huge difference really. I would have to check with Jim. Jim includes the schematics in the manual, but it is beyond my knowledge to know if the capacity is adequate
