Anyway, this discussion should be deleted by the administration as it has become nothing but a political football. Nothing to do with audio. Sigh.

We live in a free market economy, so the US president doesn't have much say over the price of vacuum tubes or gasoline, and I prefer it that way.

As for the price of tubes, my local audio dealer is holding the line on prices since he doesn't want to piss off loyal customers to make a few extra bucks in the short term. Seems like good sense to me, and its one of the things that will continue to earn him my business over internet resellers.

I think the whole situation has been great for tube sales, especially Russian tubes. That’s sad. 

When Russian transistors become scarce, and Chinese McDonald’s close down, then I’ll be worried about tubes.
