@slaw @bkeske Agree w/Brian that trying the various loading resistance options can't hurt any more than turning a tone control would. I'm pretty sure that capacitance settings only affect MM; that's why Soundsmith doesn't have a recommendation for it regarding their MIMC & MCs.

Most MM phono stages have only one fixed value that is so common that almost all MM carts are built with it in mind. OTOH, I've seen old threads encouraging tweaking capacitance on certain models if you have that flexibility. So Steve, you have that flexibility if you ever experiment w/MM.
