MM, MC, or MI cartridge

Can somebody briefly describe the difference in the sonic characteristics of these types of cartridge, if possible?

I’ve never had a MC and I’m wondering what difference it would make.

The best the op could do would be to read up on the 3 different transducers, and then listen for himself. It takes time and effort to figure out what suits you best.

However if you decide not to re-tip the virtuoso, the Hana ML is great for the money and a good place to start the MC journey.
