if you can’t tell a sound difference with cables, your listening setup is not revealing enough.
I tried cable changes early on. Couldn’t hear any differences. Started to feel skeptical. Then, I learned about acoustic priorities and the magnitudes involved in what affects the sound. Then, I didn’t deal with cables until I had dealt with (a) equipment matching, (b) speaker positioning, (c) sub additions and setup, (d) room treatment. At that point, I did cable tryouts and chose what made a difference.
At this point, cables are off the table because the next changes to make a difference will be among major components/speakers.
