There may be handling charges involved as well. I used to audition cables through lending library at Cable Company, no expectation this was a free service.

Try returning audio purchase from private individual, doubt you'll fine much luck here.

I got a great deal on a power amp from TMR, and the salesperson I've been in correspondence with has been a pleasure.

I’d say @emil is likely correct about the @kamoss1 post since that’s standard practice. I would have expected at least $40 to be deducted for any pair of speakers shipped, even those small ones mentioned.
