Lumin Ap on Lumin players - not so good?

Just work with it a bit, read the online manual. It's better than it seems at first, the biggest shortcoming to me is an outdated poorly written manual. I'm far from an expert, but I've been pretty happy once I figured out how to send music from Tidal's desktop app to the Lumin app on my IPad, where I've organized it, so I play it from there. I think the streamer is great. The documentation is poor. The worst part, if you have issues and need help, it easy for Tidal and Lumin to point the finger elsewhere.

This should not be so challenging. I bit the bullet and signed up for Roon to feed my T2 using my iPad to listen to Tidal.  Roon is looking for my Roon Core. What the flip is that and how do I access it?!

Isn't my Lumin the "core"? 

the core is where the roon operating software sits. It can be on your computer or a nucleus or a server.

You need to connect the app to the core via ethernet or wireless.

As an example, An iPad would be an endpoint.

So the Roon Remote and Roon Core are two separate entities each of which require a subscription?! Not the most easy of platforms to install or understand...
