Shipping Magnepan 3.7i

I did some years back.  They are big enough to require truck freight.  Do make sure you get in writing how long the trip will take, Yellow Freight took 7 months to ship them back from Maggie to CA but only two weeks to get to Maggie.

Do box them as if you expect brutal handling.   They drove a fork lift through mine and they had to go back again to get rebuilt.   

Do call Maggie and ask them what they recommend for a shipper, they would know what works and what doesn't.   Frankly, if they are within 500 miles from you, I call it ROAD TRIP!!!! 

Old Dominion Freight http://www.odfl.com/ is the company Magnepan uses and recommends, and they may have special rates for their speakers since they're large but relatively flat. They're generally shipped palleted but they could likely advise accordingly.
