Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

Roxy Music / Avalon
2022 Virgin half-speed master, orig. 1982

Lovely sounding remaster, ultra quiet vinyl, a fabulous reissue

Wasn’t until I got it in my hands I realized it was cut from digital sources not studio tapes (aren’t they all these days?). Still, fifty years (more) since I played a cassette tape of this recording to death (loaned it to a girlfriend and never saw it again), it sounds pretty good.

@big_greg   +1 "Sweet Return" is an exceptional traditional Jazz recording regarding the performance and SQ. Joanne Brackeen's performance is sublime.

@dayglow Freddie had been sitting on the shelf for too long.  I need to bring him out more often!
