Kate Bush

Kate Bush is having a resurgence due to the Stranger Things use of her song. I hear she made over 2 million just on residuals.

So I gave her another listen the last couple of weeks, now that my ears have matured. Her voice is either palatable or not depending on the listener. Her super high register will grate on some (even her it seems, as she’s made an album called ‘Kate Bush director’s cut’, where she put down new (less shrill) vocals). She removed the horrible 80’s techno drum beats on other cuts.

If you’re not familiar with her, she is a true genius. Try these three cuts and see if you don’t agree. Then watch the BBC show listed and see what other famous acts/singers think of her talent. David Gilmour helped launch her career.

I enjoyed Kate Bush's music for a good while. Heck of a voice. Lots of drama. I think I may have even seen her live.

I remember when Wuthering Heights was released. It got a lot of radio play. May I also recommend to newcomers the Ninth Wave side of the Hounds Of Love album. Lights out, up loud.

I have been listening to Kate Bush since 1978 when The Kick Inside came out. I had the original UK pressing. She's a talented singer/songwriter!

I like her weirder stuff the best. 'The Dreaming' is one of my favorite albums ever, and for a long time, was THE favorite album of mine. I also quite like 'Hounds of Love' and 'Never Forever', but her other stuff, as good as it is, just doesn't do that much for me.
