The Internal Revenue Service on Friday announced they are delaying new tax-reporting requirements for millions of Americans who made more than $600 of income from e-commerce platforms such as Ebay, Etsy and AirBnB.

taxes are what make civilization possible, but the neverending myth of rugged individualism persists.  Use short, and if possible, monosyllabic words when explaining the collective nature of modern culture, but don't expect the whiners to try to understand it.

if you have your original receipts and then sold some used audio equipment this is all much about nothing; pull together a spreadsheet , include the info on form 8949 , show presumably no gain since it is used equipment  and you're all done. Brief amount of extra work and no tax paid

Remember, reporting it or not, there is no tax if there is no gain.

Most of us sell used items for less than we paid.

Wasn't it the Greeks who, about two thousand years ago, discovered that democracies only work when everyone contributes and pitches in? They had a word for those who reused to...idiota. They need to add scelestus as well.

All the best,
