Ray Charles - "Rap is not music"

@northman I see what you mean. Charles simply said that rap doesn't do anything for him, not that it wasn't music. 

This is such a boring take that I often see in the audiophile world. 

I wonder why?

Rap/Hip-Hop is arrogant, destructive, ugly Ebonics drivel - ignorance, the bane of genius. It is not only not music, rap is a pervasive and debilitating form of mental illness.
