Any Thoughts?

@thecarpathian In other parts of the country/world it may be as you say but in Louisiana mudbugs live in swamps and marshes that have very little flow of water. I used to go crawfishing in just such places as a kid.

@recklesskelly That’s Ralph and Kacoo’s...sadly gone from the New Orleans area for many years now but still found in other parts of the state.

@acresverde I avoid NOLA as much as possible. I have been to the location in Bossier City when I was posted at Barksdale AFB as a civilian contractor way back when.....  From time to time I make it back  to the location in B.R and B.C.

Yes, fresh water swamps and marshes, but not physically in the mud. In other parts of the country (farther north) water flows more rapidly than in the south, as I am sure you know, and that is where our crawfish reside.

Odd expression 'mud bugs'. They don't live in the mud and they're not bugs.

It's like calling a cow a desert marsupial.
