Innuous Phoenix net

I’m debating whether to add an Innuous Phoenix net to my system. I’m using  a Zenith 3, matrix spdif, Phoenix USB, and PS Audio directstream 2.  I don’t have lots of technical knowledge.  I’m wondering if the Phoenix net would result in sound improvement.  Also, how it would function with the Matrix spdif or whether I would just remove the matrix? Amy  other input would be welcome. Thanks.

Phoenix Net is designed to address noise on your network (Ethernet). Other users with Innuos player reported positive results when the Ethernet signal fed through Phoenix Net or a quality network switch. However, it’s not inexpensive! If you search the discussions here, there are plenty of information on how to tweak Ethernet signal to your streamer. One of the popular option is ENO, a passive filter from Network Acoustics. And there is one available on US Audio Mart.

You would still keep Matrix SPDIF between Zen 3 and PS Direct Stream.

My system:

KEF Reference 5 speakers

Krell 175 XD amplifier

Benchmark LA 4 preamp

plus the Zenith 3, Matrix, Phoenix USB, PS Audio Directstream 2

Wireworld cables

I use an Innuos Zen Mk3 with the Uptone Audio Etherregen $650.

The regen  performs some of the tasks of the Phoenix $3.7k.

I asked the US Rep at the Seattle show last week about the Phoenix.

He says it will make a noticeable improvement in SQ.

Perhaps you should make the next move up to a better streamer

rather than be $8k? into a patch?

The Innuos statement now $15k?.

The Mola Mola got top reviews

I’d be doing some shopping first.
