For the "no worrie$" LP disciple-this appears to be a great buy.

Years ago, I heard an AF, and was impressed. I can imagine what it can do.

Considering what other top gun setups cost, seems like a bargain. Especially attractive as a "turnkey" package.

It does need  further upgrading- a mono arm setup. Nothing less than a Minus K underneath also.

Extravagant, excessive and unnecessary. I would imagine a professional setup would be another expense too.

Yeah, I'd submit an offer if I were looking for some new audio thrills.

This is what's used for those Better Records purchases of $500 Aja and Hotel California.

I wonder what the lowest accepted offer will be?

@tablejockey - I think Graham was the original US distributor for Tech Das which would explain why his arm was on many. My recollection is that the distribution arrangement changed, a year or more ago?

Must be nice to have 25k just laying around to blow...

I’ll keep my Thorens TD 1500 I got for just $1859 USD at Thomann USA. Same turntable is selling for $2999 in USA. It’s just one of 6 tables I own, did not need it but could buy 20 or more for the cost of this whatever table, have not even looked at it, nor would I consider it.

I also just picked up a brand new in a sealed box, Gold Note Volare 425 plus turntable in Walnut for a grand total of $1100....selling for $1695 typically, with no cartridge. It once retailed for over 2k. So two screaming deals....me happy.

After the recent passing of the founder of Tech Das, there is a good possibility that a upcoming Model is on the Marketing  Strategists Table, possibly the Hideaki Nishikawa Signature, such a move would not be too uncommon where a Tribute is disguised a Marketing Ploy.

Tech Das is a fledgling Company compared to some TT Manufacturers, but the founder has the credentials through their well mapped career as a designer and their being instrumental in producing sought after equipment.

I suggest holding off on the purchase being discussed, or alternatively make a very cheeky offer, to see if covering  the interim can be achieved on the cheap, to rotate a Vinyl LP, whilst the Limited Edition Memorial TT (to carry out the exact same rotate a Vinyl LP role), is being produced to sell on, I suspect at somewhere close to £150K.

What I do know, through reading reports from those that met him on his visits to Europe, is that Hideaki Nishikawa had always spent time at the Kuzma Exhibitions at Trade shows he was in attendance at. Some interpreted this as his endorsement of their designs. Maybe the idea that the Brand was good enough to get the attention of the Tech Das founder, then maybe the Kuzma designs are quite worthy for multiples to consider, especially before they convince themselves about the need to be entering the Stratospheric priced TT Market Place.
