FWIW consider the first 400 Concord Jazz vinyl series. I own about 90/400 and my estimate is > 75% have Audiophile SQ and content always rates at least 4/5. Many of these recordings can be found in near mint or even sealed for < $25. Don't let the "Wine and Cheese" label (by some) discourage you, great jazz has a very wide range of styles.
