@andy8400 -- always loved that song, and was suprised to see it tagged as a cover. Listened to both versions, different lyrics, looked it up on Allmusic.com and Ann and Nancy Wilson and Sue Ennis are credited as the writers on BeBe le Strange..

Just saying, this audiofool has a sick need to correct misunderstandings.

This is a Julliard-trained operatic coloratura soprano who sings terrific R&B (there aren't many like her). Morgan James covering "Lay Down Sally"

And New Orleans finest crooner, "The Tan Canary" (R.I.P.). Johnny Adams covering "Please Release Me":
