I cannot recommend anything, however 6sn7 tube was mentioned.
my Cayin integrated uses both 6sn7 and 6sl7.
I always had 12....... before, didn’t even know these 6 .....existed.
It/they sound terrific, so much so than a few of my friends, after listening here (and researching) only considered preamps with 6...
Tube Rolling: after you get a compatible tube preamp, I suggest buying replacement/alternate tubes from a source allowing returns. I blew up a 6.... (my fault), tried a new matched pair, hated them. Brent Jesse had me break them in for 60 hours (simply on, no source needed), and let me return/replace them with a different choice. My second choice (half the price) sound terrific, he gave me a refund for the difference in price, I just paid the shipping involved.
I always say, it’s ’preferred’, not ’better’.
