1960 Klipsch Heresy Value

I have a pair of 1960 Klipsch Heresy Speakers and was wondering if anyone knew their value. I’ve got pictures if I could figure out how to load them. Model number H-WO-12. Serial numbers 201 and 202.  Inspected Nov 29, 1960 and tested Nov 30, 1960. Both dates signed. They still are in good condition and sound great.

As I posted above that was the second pair I sold. Back about 12 years ago I bought a pair at my local Goodwill for $25. Tried them, didn't like them. Sold them locally for $375. Then bought my friend's Altec Madrid's for $350. A much better speaker!

There is a good site that combines most sold hifi gear from the bigger players. It's called hifi shark. it's pretty easy to use, just make sure you are looking at sold and not listed items. It's not perfect because it gives you the last "listed" price but a valuable site when truth seeking values.

Thank you! Not planning to sell them. Sentimental value as my dad bought these brand new. Just curious.  I have his Marantz tube amp and preamp he bought with the speakers…supposedly hand built by Saul Marantz. Someone offered me $3,500 but same thing, I can’t get rid of it. I’ll end up gifting to one of the kids. Grandson is into music. We’ll try to keep them around. Thanks again!

Yea, don't get rid of the old Marantz stuff, however they should be looked at by a competent tech as there are parts that will need to be replaced.

+1: on keeping anything built by Saul Marantz.

I envy you on the acquisition(s).

        Absolutely (especially: any/all electrolytic caps)
