Can anyone identify this equipment?

It looks like this is a picture of him revisiting his childhood home and the room he grew up in. I agree that's a Pioneer shortwave receiver, the rest of the the stuff is generic and hard to identify.

The TT looks like a Thorens but Dual made one a lot like it.

I think those are a few 8 track tapes in the background with a spark and static player.oh those were the days.enjoy the music

Why not just reach out to him on social media and ask him?  He must have some presence online.  He might respond.
