Legacy Audio Focus SE and rivals

I am Interested at Legacy Audio Focus SE - their natural look Is exceptional, they are very efficient, got 2 x 12 Inch woofers which cut off  low end at 18 Hz at - 2 dB , curious about  HF end where cut off Is 30 kHz

I would like to ask you - are they neutral sound speaker, are they sensitive to closer to wall placing

are there any better alternative at that price

I listened to the Aeris at axpona a couple years ago, they were fully self powered and sounded great. They do cast a huge 'stage and images are also more live vs studio. They sounded like they looked big and powerful, I placed an offer on the demo's, but was outbid.

Depending on your Budget the Focus XD’s have the internal amplification, which allows for bi amping. They incorporate the better mid range drivers as well compared to the Focus SE. If you also buy the Legacy Wavelet you can get them tuned for your room with their DSP.

I’m looking at either the Signature SE or Focus SE. I have a decent size room: 18’ x 24’ x 9’ and I sit about 10 feet back (dining room is behind me and opens to the kitchen as well), the tweeters will be about 8 feet between them. Back of speaker will 18 inches from the wall and side walls are about 3’ for the right and 6’ for the left. Is the 18” to the back wall suggesting the Signature SE is the better option?

I’m leaning to the SE vs XD because I’m concerned that the internal amp in the speaker is another thing that could go wrong and shipping off a speaker for that repair isn’t appealing.

Regarding the amp, obviously Legacy’s Power Block 2 would be a good option. Also looking at a Buckeye Purifi amp or a wild card I’m reading up on is the Tone Winner AD-1 PA+. Any thoughts ?

I have the Focus SE paired with Ayon Triton Evo and love them. Do recommend getting  at least 18 inches from the wall.
