New Cure Release

So, the long-awaited Cure album Songs of a Lost World is out. Robert says it's the last. Been a fan for years. Of course they haven’t put out anything worth listening to in 30 years. This is more or less in the style of Disintegration.

I’m also a fan of good recordings and dynamic range. Here you go. The deluxe 2-CD DR CD1 = 5, CD2 = 5. Total range for both = 4-6. Crap.

1st three Cure albums for me, listened to later albums but commercialisation killed the love cat for me.

I get mine today in the mail.  Agree with the above posts regarding Depeche Mode.  Absolutely love that album, from beginning to end.  To me, it's their most "mature" album to date.    Some songs sound better than others, but still, very good.

I listened to the album once. To me, it seems like a cross between Pornography and Disintegration. Songs are long depressing jams with depressing lyrics. I don’t know anything about a trilogy unless the band has a bunch of songs (too much for one release) but the last song almost seems like a "goodbye." However, like both of the albums I named above, the more you listen to them, the more you like them because it takes a while to understand the grooves, lyrics and feelings. Even on one listen, I started to get back into that old mindset when I absolutely loved this band.
