Melco N10/2 DC power cable

Plixir and The Chord company offer DC power cables between Melco N10/2 streamer and its power supply with the intention to improve sound quality. Are there members with experience on this one? Have these cables any impact or is this just a gimmick of 1000USD/Euro.

Over the years, I’ve experimented with many DC power cables (aka umbilical cords). They can definitely make a significant difference in SQ if your system is revealing.

I tossed out most of the cheap DC power cables that came with my DC power supplies. I installed DIY versions made out of pure OCC copper 20 awg solid core. Some DIY’ers make them with silver wire. Try to route them away from any AC power cords to minimize EMI. Everything matters.

No direct experience with Chord DC but they do make a difference. The built + wire + connectors quality is just as critical as your LPS. I have used JCAT DC cables (one of the finest DC cable available) with their OPTIMO LPS, across the board improvements over genric cables.

Do you really want to spend $1000 for a few feet of wire? Keep believing the blarney of the wire fanatics!
