@livinon2wheels yes, check out REL. Their ads are a little pretentious, "At REL we only make subwoofers so we are the best at them"...whatever. But they are noted to maybe be a step up in both price and audio quality (more texture) compared to say, SVS. But for me, I'll probably get a SVS sub (the SB2000 Pro) and call it a day for my living room. REL does make some vintage looking subs with great specs that might match your decor better (wooden ones). Pretty things. WAF guaranteed.
Has anyone here had any dealings with Tekton, particularly their subwoofers
As I explore options for replacing equipment I am it seems constantly finding new sources of components to consider. Tekton has appeared on my radar due to another thread here at audiogon. I just wondered if anyone has gone this direction for subwoofers in particular, but I also have questions about their full range speakers and what they are like to deal with. Given that the world of hi-fi has become even more of a smoke and mirrors game than it has been in the past, I am more cautious about who I am willing to throw down money for than I ever have been.

If anyone is interested, here is the uncut version: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/tekton-m-lore-speaker-review.48732/ You don't need to read many of the 137 pages to realize that, as is most often the case with real life, things are not 100% black and white.
This is false, actually. In fact I just read an ASR review written by Amir himself that thoroughly trashes a Harman Group product. It was surprising too, because the Venu360 is generally well-regarded by folks who do audio for a living. |

Tekton has 40 years of audio engineering knowledge.i have had several conversations with him about design, measurements, crossovers ect.he has a vast wealth of knowledge.i have seen his factory and how he does things.very honest in my opinion.just as the tour through ps audio ,Paul answered all my questions and explained how he sourced his products and the science behind it.he is real both of them are.paul showed me some of the prototypes they were developing.chris is very experienced as well.his father was in some very prominent audio companies.the apple does not fall far from the tree.i only hope these people continue to engineer and manufacture products to improve the joy and mental stimulation.go listen for yourself and I highly recommend visiting these places.enjoy the music and life |
