How do you decide what to listen to? Same old stuff?

I have trouble deciding which movie or ice cream I should buy.  Wine decisions are also challenging.

And then I sit down with Quobuz and surf through stuff hoping to find something wonderful to listen to - it's really hard.  Lots of really nice pictures but that doesn't help.  my time is Limited and I don't wanna make bad decisions it takes a lot of time to listen to music.  I have a wide variety of stuff I've listened to previously but I don't wanna keep listening to the same old stuff all the time.

I love it when others give examples of what they've listened to so I've written down those a few times and it works out.

So many music choices, so much to choose from.

+1 for Radio Paradise.  Listen to it all the time. then hop over to ROON and make a favorite

For Internet radio, I love Sheena's Jungle Room, a stream from WFMU.  Great variety, many obscure, funny, or outrageous tunes.  You will want to have Shazam open whenever you listen.

I call listening homework. If I hear you playing something that I like, i'll ask you about it and add it to my homework list. Sometimes I go by album or whole catalog. If I hear on a TV show, movie, I do the same. Shazam is great for that. These forums are a great source as well. Qobuz  Club has forums broken down by genre.

I spend 10 to 12 hours a week in the car, and listen to a variety of stations on XM satellite and local progressive stations. When I hear a song I like, more than once, I Shazam it and check it out later on Qobuz......found some of my favorite new bands that way; and rediscovered some long forgotten loves from the 80s and 90s.

Mishka is a great example, amazing Reggae singer song writer that records his music incredibly well.
