@vthokie83 Yes, being able to talk with the designer/builder is truly an advantage. That is why, beyond great sound, I like owning gear from John (Fritz Speakers) and Aric (Aric Audio).

I didn't know you owned Aric's gear, I'm a big fan myself. I own his Motherlode XL preamp, and his Transcend "Push Pull" EL34 amp.....both extraordinary pieces of gear

Aric Speakers seem like the answer for both you and your space. except price. Have you heard them? Time to sell some stuff and raise the budget.

@elliottbnewcombjr  Thanks for the review by Terry. I have not heard Aric's speakers  as I live in southern Illinois and have not traveled in is direction for a long time. For now they are outside my budget and I am thinking they may be a little large for my room. I remain in full support of Aric's products and keep in touch with him on an annual basis. 

As much as I admire Aric’s electronics, his speakers are butt ugly.  I’m more about sound than aesthetics, but even I have my limits and I couldn’t look at those things in my listening room.
