Will Accuphase E-800 be enough to power Klipsch La Scala speakers?

I am not familiar with power and other electrical terms but am interested in the above combination. From the E-800 spec sheet at 8ohms, the amplifier can deliver 50W continuous power. The La Scala spec sheet has 100W/400W under Power Handling. All I have read is that the La Scalas do not need that much power to drive them. Am I interpreting the spec sheets correctly in that there is not enough power in the amp? I am feeing I am interpreting the requirements incorrectly.

La Scalas are so sensitive you can almost drive them with an iPhone. I cannot think of any amp, including a Decware 2 watt, that would not drive them.

I have a 1.8 watt decware that would drive them well and likely sound better.  -Jerry

Plenty.  It easily powered my Harbeth 40.3 XDs which have an 86db sensitivity.  I am selling my E-800 with the companion AD-60 phono card for a very reasonable price. It was bought new this past summer. I loved the E-800 so much that I took a big jump into Accuphase separates.  It’s a great integrated amp.

It is a great amp. Klipsch are very efficient.i have the voice of  theater and are driven with 30 watt tube amp and sound great.enjoy your new equipment and the music.
