Presidents Day HiFi sales

Anyone else remember the President day sales. I can remember saving up one year maybe a turntable another speakers or amplifier or other piece of gear. This was back in the 70’ s and in a place like Harvard Sq Cambridge there were plenty of stores competing for your $$

I used to make the trip to Boston every year for their Washington Birthday sales.  I scored a new pair of large Advent speakers back in the mid to later 70’s.
