Thinking of pairing these speakers with a pair of class d monoblocks (Atmasphere, Mytek, mola mola, and, etc. ) Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated

I hope to audition the Atma-Sphere class Ds in the next week or so. I’ll try to remember to report back here my findings. If I like them, I’d use them in a 2nd system which is a more intimate setting. Musicality first. Authority and impact are not unimportant, but secondary considerations.

@mapman - didn’t know you had a pair of Ohm Fs. I had a pair I bought used about 1983. Loved them but they required so much more power than I had at the time (a David Hafler 100w/channel amp which struggled) with the roughly <80 db sensitivity. I’m actually considering a pair of the new Ohms for a small system - I think they could be fun. But I have fond memories of the Fs. You mentioned driving them with class Ds. May I ask which amp?

Hi @mgrif104

I have ohm F5s which are newer CLS drivers in refurbed F cabinets.

Premium GaN 6.5 here:

was listening to this combo all afternoon today. I have to say the sound is near impossible to fault, pretty well up there in all aspects. Check out the review of older model on Enjoy the Music web site. The reviewer nailed it pretty well.

@mapman - nice! And thanks for the links. You must have a fairly big room w/ the new CLS drivers. I assume the can has the super tweeter in it, too. Correct?

Best,

@mgrif104

All newer ohm CLS drivers have separate tweeter crossed over fairly high though technically not a “super-teeeter”.

It’s a good size L shaped room.  5xxx 12” CLS drivers have 4 3 way tone controls provided on outside of can.  One is for low bass or room size.  So they can be adjusted for room sizes large to small.
