Susanna Hoffs + Travis

I don't know how I missed this, but I'm really enjoying it. Hoffs has such a distintive voice, kind of like a schoolgirl who smokes 3 packs a day. Now I have to do a deep dive on Travis.

 

Hoffs did 3 albums of cover songs with Matthew Sweet. Good stuff! Always liked her with the Bangles.

Travis is a Scottish band who had a big hit back in the 90's with a song called 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me?'....

I very much follow her in the 2010s and saw the Bangles live at the Hard Rock Cafe in SD. It was in the top 3 concerts I have ever been to. Their post 2000s albums are amazing too. My favorite from her is the album Someday..

I should add: her voice, especially post "first Bangles" is magical. Sexy and classy and liberating.

Fran Healy, Travis' front-man has a solo album called Wreckorder that is pop genius IMO. Love Travis.
