The "young people' music thread - Artists younger than 40 years old

Pretty much every music thread is about old people music...

Please post some 'young people' music that's worthwhile for a change, if you know any. Genre shouldn't matter.

People who like the Singer/Songwriter, "Hard" (traditional) Country, and Bluegrass genres (three included in the term Americana) are in luck, as those styles of music have a new generation of practitioners making records and touring. @slaw has already mentioned a few, and a couple more can be heard on Ringo Starr’s new album, they being Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings. Both have mighty fine albums of their own, and there are dozens more like them. For instance:

- The Secret Sisters (produced by T Bone Burnett).

- JD McPherson (okay, he’s a little over 40, but looks younger), sometimes guitarist with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant.

- Adrianne Lenker. Her Bright Future album was voted the best album of 2024 in many lists.

- Brennan Leigh. I’ve seen her live, and she’s fantastic.

- Melissa Carper. Likewise.

- Charley Crockett.

- Sam Outlaw.

Jazz guitarist (who's probably a genius, beside being a masterful musician) Julian Lage.

I agree about Marcus King. Phenomenally tasteful player whose Jazz studies and harmonic awareness elevate him above typical licks-based players. A protégé of Warren Haynes. Terrific and terrifically soulful singer, as well.

As @slaw and @bdp24 have asserted, the genres of Americana, Hard Country, and Bluegrass are generously populated by gifted younger artists. There are also singer songwriters whose music is a hybrid of these styles, along with Folk influences. In fact, it appears that these genres are attracting a disproportionate number of such folks. Exploring these genres, this reality is inescapable. Anyone who asserts there is no good music being made today is simply advertising their laziness.
