Bookshelf speaker pairing with subwoofer

+1 on Fritz. Great speakers that punch well above their price point.  I have a pair integrated with a pair of T5s

There are lots of suggestions offered above, but what is your budget?  Two more important factors:  What is your amplification and what sound characteristic is most important to you?

$5k tops. hard to describe sound characteristics because it is a personal thing. When I hear it I smile. What can I say. Same thing with wine. If I like it I drink it.

Never heard of Fritz. I will have to check them out also.

Agree that Fritz (made in USA) is worth checking out. the Fritz Carbon 7 SE MK2 is recently listed at $2.8K new on US audio mart. That’s a good value for an excellent speaker. It’s more of a full range stand-mount ported speaker with a larger 7" bass/mid driver than ATC SCM 7’s 5" unique driver which is definitely more centered at mid range and highs accuracy. More similarities than differences from an enjoyment standpoint, again, depending on one's preferences. Btw, I hit the wrong key in my "way too long" post on the SCM7. That speaker pair retails now at $1.6K, not $1.7, is sealed box, smaller and half the weight of the 32lb Fritz Carbon 7. The SCM 7 definitely needs a sub for bass extension below 40-50hz. The Fritz may not even need a sub, albeit still benefit from one. Both ATC and Fritz are very worthwhile manufacturers to explore.
