Does this make sense

My first ever post please be gentle but I would like an honest opinion am I wasting my time?

Not sure this is even the correct location for such posts ?

Also

1- I’m no audiophile but I do like and always have liked analog sound over digital

2- The following is just a prototype things will get more refined this is only a test fit

3- I usually make watches but got this idea a while back and i finally made this...

Besides the obvious tilting mechanism Ill let the pictures do the talking

Well I guess I need to learn how to post pictures

The only TT’s that have P mount headshells are for DJ and commercial applications.

That’s not true. I have two vintage direct drive TTs that have P mount head shells.

A Marantz 6300 and a Sony PS X55. The Marantz has an S shape arm. The Sony has a straight arm.

.

Apparently, not as clunky as one might think........check this out.... ;)

I'm a tangential arm fan myself....2 Rabco's, one Teac, and Garrard Z-100 'mutant'  *L*  Used to own a Technics SL-8 but stupid enough to let it go away....😣

I just saw a release on this Beo TT the other day.....Beautiful....*sigh*

35K$....'a pittance'....Uh, yeah....

OP, maybe this might help....It's obviously a collectable, at minimum... ;)

How much would you ask for a headshell? 🙂

I was not planning on selling these really this is not what I normally make but if there was interest and if my limited time allows I'm willing to look into making some as for the price I have no clue all I can say is apart from the Cad time fabrication took me around 15h

As for why I made this I wanted to test out and understand the tracking error of a sweeping arm as compared to a tangent I know there is an reading error induced by the sweeping arc of a non tangent and  thought this could mitigate the error slightly the only thing is it would have to be adjusted for every track on an album is it worth it? no clue LOL  if so one would need a way say a scale type device on the pivot point allowing you to adjust the angle of the cartridge to the track/position your playing
