I know next to nothing about DSP, but the APM board on the T+A could be analog, at least the acronym stands for Analog signal Processing Module. I have no idea how this might, or might not differ from DSP.
I do occasionally use Roon, but it's not my main server. That accurate sound functionality does look interesting.
I didn't realize how problematic my room was until I went through the manual version of the T+A room correction. In the end the T+A room correction involves adjusting three parametric bands between 25 and 200 Hz, so not that much control.
