Some people actively participate but rarely if ever start a thread.

I’ve only been here 5 years.  I participated more at the start than I have the past couple of years.  I realize I still don’t know much, and I don’t have the experience swapping equipment in and out like so many others here. I don’t even go to audio dealers to listen.  I still come here to read, or skim, but I don’t even post much let alone start a thread now.  I know that I don’t have the best answers to questions, so I leave it to more experienced members to respond.  I spend more time checking out the audio equipment videos on YouTube, which can be entertaining.  

I post when I have a question. 

I comment when

- I think I have something to say

- I’m feeling ornery

Well, some people are afraid to look silly by asking "stupid questions" or just initiating "stupid subject". I am not, and if some of what I start is indeed stupid, so be it. As someone said: " If there is nothing to lose there is nothing to gain "
