Yes. People get locked into other endeavors also. A pitcher pitches a perfect game. A basketball player scores 40+ points. When I was teaching poetry, that was the hardest thing to teach. How to get locked into a poem so that you're no longer thinking. Kobe Bryant said to Pau Gasol, "You're the best center in the world. Stop thinking and shoot." In music, it's the same thing, and musicians touring and playing every night probably don't get locked in all the time.
