$500 used power cord for Lumin power supply

Any suggestions appreciated. Like how my wire sounds just want a neutral pass through maybe drop noise and relax things, no tone control. Using Straightwire Crescendo 2, speaker wire and interconnects, Straightwire, Clarity Vortex and Von Gaylord legend 7000 power cords in a class a tube amp.

@foggy--I didn't disappear. I am having a ball with popcorn in hand. Please show me ONE statistically relevant test that shows PC sonic impact? Please do.

Cheers,

A well-shielded power cable with conductors of good conductivity and sufficient gauge like this is all you need.  Save $450 for something that really matters to the sound like power conditioning.  I believe in cable but you got to spend the money in the right way.

To elaborate, as long as a power cable meets the basic electrical requirements, i.e., sufficient gauge to carry current without voltage drop, proper conductivity, adequate shielding/grounding for safety and noise rejection, and compliance with electrical codes, its effect on *sound quality* should be negligible from an engineering standpoint.

If you could think of anything else that could affect sound quality, educate / convince me and I will be more than enough to learn from you.

Or better yet, two of these!

emergingsoul have you tried an exceptional cord on your x1? You have a 20lb outboard power supply and you are using a $2 power cord on a $17,000 player. I feel you are leaving extreme potential on the table. Everybody has a right to not believe. I’m just one that wouldn’t be without good one’s through out the system.
