How important is an LCD screen on your streamer?

Hi, All,

Just curious of the importance to you of having a screen display on your streamer? For me, it's critical. I would not purchase a streamer without one...As much great press as the Innuous and Aurender's get they don't seem to prioritize a display screen?

I don't care much about having a display on the streamer, given that it is across the room, but the Volumio Rivo Plus has HDMI out to display the user interface and, more importantly, the metadata on your TV. That is a rare feature on streamers.

Not important to me at all.  I control my Innuos Zen MK3 through Qobuz or their Sense app with my phone or tablet and I don’t need more light in the room.

I always turn screen/display off. I wish manufacturers directed the efforts towards improving digital circuitry and minimizing noise and jitter instead of including a screen that’s just a redundancy when all streamers are controlled via smart phone or tablet.

Wow, unanimous! I do use my IPad but I just love the idea of being able to see it on the screen, I think aesthetically it adds a nice classy touch-even if impractical. Plus a lot of times I’ll have music playing just for background and I like the idea of just looking at the screen rather than scrambling for my iPad if it’s a song I don’t recognize…

Not important at all to me.

I can do everything better on my iPad, so I don't need to squint to read a tiny lcd screen.

I have an Aurender streamer.
