Cmalak,

For used vinyl & CD's.

In Your Ear on Commonwealth ave near BU in Brookline.
Large selection, wide variety and priced well.
Est. time: Could take most of the day.

Record Exchange on Washington Street in Salem.
Best of the bunch I think.
Little more in cost but better pickins. Good variety.
Has back room with some very very nice stuff but the owner has to be there and the pricing is done by another person so you may not be able to take them when you leave unless he is there.
Est. time: A couple of hours.

Loony Tunes on Boylston street near Burkley in Boston.
Large selection, wide variety and priced well.
EST time: A few hours.

New vinyl
Only one place local.

Newbury Comics on Newbury Street near Mass Ave Boston, this store has the largest new vinyl selection of all Newbury comics stores. Watch the prices they are sometimes on the high side.
1-2 hours.
Thx much Hevac1...I have been to Record Exchange and agree with you they are the best of the bunch. Also been to Newbury Comics. Will definitely check In Your Ear and Looney Tunes. Thx much.
If your driving through New England, try finding all you could on the web, or whatever sources there are.New England has always been a good area for music. If your time limited, hope you find some good music additions for your collection.
Cmalak,
You may bump into me.
BTW what do you have for equipment?
If in Cambridge the 4 stores in Harvard Square are within 2 minutes of each other and Central Square is 5 minutes away if that. I would check them all out. Something to do on a Saturday.
