Ripping w/dbpoweramp or JRiver

Planning to download dbpoweramp and use it to rip my cd library and download JRiver to play the files; but according to the JRiver website, I can use it to rip. Is dbpoweramp the better ripper and JRiver the better player? Of course, I'm trying to maximize the SQ of my music files (which I intend to save as AIFF).

Try XLD if you are using Mac. This is what I use to rip CDs to AIFF or convert FLAC to AIFF on my MacMini. I use JRiver as the player.
Have a PC with Windows 7. Just downloaded trial version of dbpoweramp, but really struggling with it. I had no trouble with iTunes, but thinking this could drive me to an early grave.
Check out the CD ripping guide at computeraudiophile.com for an in-depth, step by step guide to setting up dbpoweramp for ripping. I follow it to a t and works wonders. A set it and forget it kind of thing for me.

FWIW, I use JRiver for playback, and use dbpoweramp in a multipurpose computer and JRiver on a different computer solely dedicated to playback.
Lewinski01 - thanks much for pointing me to the ripping guide. Very informative and helpful. Will start ripping my cd library tomorrow morning.
I also have a PC with Windows 7 & Jriver. I ripped all my Cd's using Itunes in lossless and play them back in WASAPI through Jriver. Took me a year of messing around but it sounds & works extremely well.
Iam with you on the eraly grave speach. I wanted to enjoy the music prior to expiring.
Good luck, John
