Where does your user name come from?

Hi everyone,
I'm curious to know what's the story behind your user name (or Alias)... There are a bunch of people that use their name (of parts of it) like myself, Albert Porter, GerryM5, Esoler...

But where does user name like Cornfedboy, Garfish, Calloway, Tireguy, SwampWalker (and many many others) come from? Any story behind?

Just curious

I'm a huge Radiohead fan. Yet, when I play Radiohead CD's at work or during audio auditioning, I am not sure my angioplasty patients, nurses in the cath lab, or audio dealers have the same appreciation for Thom Yorke.

Lawrence
It's my given greek name. No real english translation but Frank is closest. In greek Fotis means 'light' or 'bearer of light' (fos) if you will.
With two of my Siberian Huskies that lived in the house named Ziggy and Blue and one of my young grandsons who always would be asking for ziggy/blue ziggy/blue. That's what a two year old had to say everyday, it was non stop some days.
Well the company needed a seven letter word that I would not forget. Ha, easy for them to say and me having short term memory issues I chose the obvious and have been using it ever since.
When I was in college I was in a grunge/punk cover band. Yes we wore flannel. Yes it's embarrassing now. Anyhow, our band was called "Splotch", for some forgettable reason. I created a bunch of flyers for a gig at my fraternity using Harvard GRaphics (any geeks remember that?). I picked a bizarre font. My roomate saw the flyer and said "Who the f*** is 'Sdatch' and why is he here on Saturday night?" And the rest is history...
