Direct TV thru Pre-amp

Guys,

I'm curious if any of you have ran your direct TV through your pre-amp for listening. I'm not sure what the quality would be coming out into a hifi system. Thanks for the advise.

This works fine.Just don't expect the same quality sound as your other sources.I have SirriusXM radio playing background music all day.BTW, I use DishNetwork.I heard Direct TV was replacing SirriusXM with something else.

works fine, it has below average sound (far worse than my FM tuner) but better than the TV speakers.

yes Sirrius is gone from Directv and the replacement channels are terrible...

This is the only way I have ever used my DirectV HD DVR.
It passes 5:1 Dolby and sounds great via optical.
