Dual volume control - it should be standard

Why don't they all make preamps and integrateds like that?
Recently I got Redgum integrated with volume control for each channel. What a difference. You just do it by ear for every recording or even individual tune. Simple and great idea.

Tune it for each individual cut? OCD much? I have had individual volume controls and they are a real pain. I removed the balance control from one of my preamps recently as I could not remember using having used that feature in 30 years or so. Another has electronic balance on the remote and I forgot about it for years. My current pre has that also; I have never used it.
I can certainly understand why some manufacturers don't go down the path of designing preamps or integrated amps with dual volume controls. However, I much prefer dual volume controls, or a single volume control with right and left channel gain adjustments.
Inna - Why would you need to adjust for each album or song??
I have found that moving one speaker in or our, left or right by only a few inches will compensate for room or hearing differences. Set that and forget that. Forever.
